Mayors around the Philippines have an extra burden in their shoulders as the country is suffering from COVID-19 pandemic. Some of them are already hailed for the remarkable measures that they are doing in their cities or municipalities.

However, there are those who received criticisms with complaints that they are not fulfilling their duties as mayors. Apparently, included in the list of mayors who received bashing is this mayor from the province of Aklan.

Based on the Facebook Page post of Pinoy Trending News, the unidentified female mayor gathered her constituents at a covered court just to scold them. It appeared that physical distancing was not implemented during the gathering.

In the comment section, PTN wrote that the mayor was sounding like the relief goods came from them and that people should show appreciation to them because of that. The Page’s admin also stated that apparent reason why the female politician did that. “Kaya pala ganyan na magsalita eh 25 Years ng nasa pwesto at nagpapalitan lang sila ng asawa niya,” PTN wrote.
