Angel Locsin Planning To Run For Public Office?
ANGLE LOCSIN – Philanthropist Angel Locsin addresses speculations that she is planning to enter politics.
Actress and philanthropist Angel Locsin is one of the Pinoy celebrities who quickly respond during calamity or crisis in the county. In fact, she landed on Forbes Asia’s list of most generous philanthropists.
Now that the Philippines is fighting COVID-19 pandemic, Angel and her fiance Neil Arce work tirelessly to help the frontline health workers and the families affected by the ‘enhanced community quarantine.’
Angel Locsin launched the #UniTENTweStandPH in March. A few weeks ago, she announced that she has raised over P11 million to address the overcrowding in hospitals.
The 35-year-old actress also gathered some help from her fellow celebrities. Among the celebrities who lend a hand to Angel are Anne Curtis, Solenn Heussaff, Nico Bolzico, and Regine Velasquez.
On Friday, May 1, Angel Locsin and her former love team partner Richard Gutierrez shared a glimpse of their relationship behind cameras. The two celebrities participated in the live FB launch of “Regal Movies At Home.”
During their conversation, ‘Darna‘ actress also addressed the speculation that she’s planning to enter politics because of her efforts during coronavirus crisis. She said she had no plan to run for public office.
“Public servant naman po kami bilang mga artista, e. I think ‘yung buhay naman namin is very public. Lahat naman ‘to ginagawa namin, hindi lang para sa sarili namin, kung ‘di gusto namin magbigay ng entertainment sa mga tao. Pero, politics? Hindi talaga. Sobrang hindi. Wala sa utak ko ‘yun,” she said.
Richard Gutierrez said on their live chat that Angel Locsin is a natural-born leader. He said his former love team partner set a good example and has inspired a lot of people.
“Si Angel talaga, she’s a true leader. She’s a good example, ang dami niyang nai-inspire,” Richard said.
Angel Locsin and Richard Gutierrez last co-starred in the 2017 Kapamilya fantasy series “La Luna Sangre.”
