Several barangay officials were caught deducting P3,000 from the cash aid givento the people saying “Kay Mayor ito babalik, sa bahay niya.”
Many Filipino people are now relying on relief goods and social amelioration cash fund being given by the government. The government aims to help the less-fortunate families whose jobs and livelihoods were affected by the enhanced community quarantine.
Unfortunately, there are some residents who expressed their disappointment after some alleged corrupt officials were doing anomalous acts with the distribution of SAP cash funds.
Recently, a Facebook user named Lhon Villamayor Perez has shared the video footage of several barangay officials taking back an amount of around P3,000 from the cash given to the poor families. The video garnered various reactions from the online community.
In the video, it can be seen that one of the officials is dealing with the residents to return some amount from the financial assistance given by the government. The official and Perez had an argument regarding the issue.
After a few moments, the barangay official said that the P3,000 would allegedly go to Mayor.
