Video of Authorities Beating Helpless Fish Vendor For Violating quarantine Orders Earns Reactions Online
The video footage of authorities beating a helpless fish vendor in Quezon City for defying the lockdown protocols elicits comments online.
The Facebook page “Moto Style” has shared the video footage of a helpless fish vendor being beaten by some personnel of the Office of the Mayor’s Oplan Task Force Disiplina in Quezon City. The video garnered various reactions from the online community.
In the video, it can be seen that around five to six personnel were mercilessly hitting and beating the vendor. They have also dragged the helpless man to their service vehicle after violating the quarantine order.
The local officials explained that the man violated the Enhanced Community Quarantine for not wearing a face mask and quarantine pass. The incident happened along Panay Avenue in Barangay South Triangle, Quezon City on Monday (April 27, 2020).
The vendor still managed to shout “Wala naman po ako ginagawa” while the government personnel is beating him.
Some residents can be also heard saying “Hindi dapat pinapalo nang pinapalo, kawawa naman” but one of the authorities answered “Labag po sa enhanced community quarantine natin ‘yan ma’am.”
