COVID-19 Test Result of Male Patient in Bacolod, Negros Occidental Arrives
MALE PATIENT IN BACOLOD – A 69-year-old male resident of Bacolod City, Negros Occidental who died tested positive for COVID-19.
Bacolod City, Negros Occidental is one of the cities in the Philippines with confirmed cases of coronavirus. Currently, the province of Negros Occidental is under a Modified Community Quarantine.
The measure against COVID-19 was recently downgraded from the Enhanced Community Quarantine to Modified Community Quarantine. It was after the coronavirus-related records in the province continued to drop.
The Provincial Government is looking after the plight of the low-income individuals amid the community quarantine but as well as does everything to secure the safety of the people.
However, recently, another case of coronavirus was confirmed in Negros Occidental. The patient was from Iloilo who went home to La Castellana in March. He reportedly underwent a 14-day quarantine and it was already in April when the symptoms appeared.
Recently, another update crossed the surface. Based on a report of The Visayan Daily Star, a male patient in Bacolod City who died last April 9 tested positive for COVID-19.
The said 69-year-old patient was admitted at Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital. According to Dr. Julius Drilon, the patient was suffering from diarrhea for two (2) days and was “moderately dehydrated” when he was admitted.
Based on the post, the CLMMRH Chief said that 17 staff of the hospital was exposed to the male patient in Bacolod who died and tested positive for COVID-19. Nine (9) of these staff underwent rapid testing and one (1) of them, a female nurse, tested positive. She is now isolated and will undergo validation by the PCR test.
