4Ps Beneficiary Returns Cash Aid So Other Families Can Have
GUMACA, QUEZON – A kind 4Ps beneficiary returned the cash aid he received from the government so other families can receive financial help.
Norberto Bondoy, A beneficiary of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) returned the cash assistance he received from the local government of Gumaca town in the province of Quezon.
Bondoy said that Gumaca’s Social Welfare and Development Office gave him cash assistance worth P6,500 amid the coronavirus outbreak in the country. He also received a cash grant from the government’s poverty reduction program.
The beneficiary has decided to return the P6,500 cash aid because he has already received the cash grant from 4Ps. He returned the cash aid so the government can help more poor families affected by the enhance community quarantine.
Gumaca’s local government said that Bondoy is the second person to return the financial assistance they have received from the government.
The Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program aims to provide cash assistance to poor Filipino people to improve their educational status, nutrition, and health condition. Beneficiaries could continuously receive cash aid for a maximum of seven years.
