Update on DOH Records on Coronavirus Cases in the Philippines
DOH – The Department of Health confirmed 111 new cases of coronavirus in the Philippines.
Undeniably, the Philippines is on a huge battle now after COVID-19 has entered the country and infected thousands of people. This virus is hard to contain and several countries have locked their borders in the pursuit to contain its spread.
In the case of PH, most coronavirus cases were recorded in Luzon. It urged President Rodrigo Roa Duterte to put Luzon under an Enhanced Community Quarantine or ECQ.
Not only Luzon but as well as provinces in Mindanao and Visayas are implementing the ECQ. There are also confirmed cases of the said disease in the said regions.
Sadly, many of the healthcare members in the Philippines were infected by coronavirus. More than 400 doctors and nurses tested positive for the disease and at least 12 doctors died of the disease.
The Department of Health (DOH) issues a daily update on the coronavirus cases in the Philippines. For today, April 22, 2020, the health department confirmed 111 new cases of COVID-19 in the country. It brings the total to 6,710 now.
There is now a total of 446 deaths after 446 new death cases due to coronavirus were recorded by the health department. With regards to the recoveries, 39 patients have recovered from the disease bringing the total recoveries to 693.
