Roque Says Pres. Duterte Will Give Reward To Any Pinoy in Exchange of COVID-19 Vaccine

DUTERTE – President Rodrigo Roa Duterte is offering a P10-million reward to any Pinoy who can discover COVID-19 vaccine.

The Philippines now is on a big fight – to contain the spread of coronavirus or COVID-19 in the country. This disease has infected over 200 countries worldwide and has claimed over 160,000 lives.

Also, the total confirmed cases of infection across the globe has surpassed two (2) million. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the pandemic is going to be a long-term battle.

In the Philippines, there is now over six (6) thousand confirmed cases of coronavirus. The Department of Health (DOH) said that the total count may continue to increase as more testings are done.

The entire Luzon is under an Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) now. Most parts of Visayas and Mindanao are also implementing the same to curb the spread of the infection.

Most quarantine measures are set to expire this April 30. With regards to Luzon where most cases were recorded, the President will be deciding whether to extend it, to modify it, or to lift it. Undeniably, the war is far from over now.

Based on a post on Manila Bulletin, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque expressed that President Rodrigo Roa Duterte is offering P10-million to any Pinoy who can discover COVID-19 vaccine.

The President is vocal that he might lift the quarantine if there are anti-bodies or vaccines that can treat coronavirus. Undeniably, lifting it without such may be risky.
