Corrupt Workers Involved in SAP Irregularities Would be Punished, DSWD Says

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) announced that they will punish corrupt workers who were involved in any SAP irregularities.

The Philippines is currently under a state of calamity and the entire is Luzon, as well as other parts of the country, were under an enhanced community quarantine to prevent the spread of coronavirus disease.

The government is already distributing relief goods and giving cash aid or known as the Social Amelioration Program to help the residents whose jobs were affected by the lockdown protocols.

Unfortunately, a lot of people were already complaining against some workers for allegedly reducing the cash aid. Recipient reported some incidents of anomalies on distributing of SAP forms and financial assistance.

Recently, DSWD Sec Rolando Bautista urged the public to report any incident of irregularities upon the distribution of cash assistance. “Mga nagsasamantala sa SAP idulog ang reklamo sa DSWD Action Center,” Bautista said.

DILG Sec Eduardo Año said that corrupt workers who were proven involved in anomalies would face corresponding sanctions and penalties.
