CATS – The photo of cats in Marikina City went viral after they were spotted practicing the ‘social distancing’ rule.
The World Health Organization (WHO) urged the public to practice social distancing amid the coronavirus pandemic. The Philippine government issued drastic measures to combat the spread of COVID-19.
The virus from China has already infected nearly 2 million people worldwide. Health experts said staying 6-feet away from other people is key to slowing the virus.

This time, cats on the sidewalk caught the attention of the netizens after they were also spotted obeying the rules of social distancing. Based on a report from GMA News, the cats were seen in Barangay Nangka in Marikina City.
A Facebook user named April Salinga uploaded the photo of the 4 cats. It can be seen on the photo that they were resting on the sidewalk while maintaining a physical distance from the others. She said her mother has been taking care of them.
The cats in the viral photo are named Putol, Orange, Gray, and Batik. The photo has garnered 67K reactions, 4.6 comments, and 23K shares as of this writing.
