DOH Releases Update on PH’s COVID-19 Cases
DOH – The Department of Health confirmed 104 new cases of COVID-19 or coronavirus in the Philippines.
Many countries now are battling against a pandemic – the 2019 coronavirus or the COVID-19. It has affected several nations including the Philippines.
In the Philippines, the entire Luzon is under an enhanced community quarantine (ECQ). Supposedly, the said quarantine is on its last week but due to the increasing cases, it is extended until April 30.
President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has also declared a state of calamity in the whole Philippines so local government units (LGUs) can help their constituents. Several provinces in Visayas and Mindanao are under an ECQ as well.
The authorities keep on reminding the people to stay at home. This is one of the best ways to curb the spread of the infection. Sadly, the situations in other countries showed how fast the infection can spread.
Recently, the Department of Health (DOH) released an update on the COVID-19 cases in the Philippines. The health department confirmed the addition of 104 new coronavirus cases today bringing the total to 3,764.
Also, the health department recorded eleven (11) new recoveries bringing the total to 84. The death toll is at 177 now after 14 new deaths were recorded.
