DOH Update on Coronavirus Cases in the Philippines
DOH – The Department of Health confirmed 385 new cases of coronavirus in the Philippines.
One of the countries fighting against the spread of coronavirus now is the Philippines. This pandemic has caused several nations to lock down their borders following an outbreak of the COVID-19.
Across the globe, over one (1) million cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the different countries. The death toll has also reached 53,000 while the recoveries are at 212,000 now.
In the Philippines, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte declared an enhanced community quarantine covering the entire Luzon. The Chief Executive also declared a state of calamity in the whole nation.
The people are advised to stay at home to curb the spread of the disease and to flatten the curve. Outside Luzon, several provinces are also implementing an ECQ now to fight the spread of COVID-19.
Recently, the Department of Health released an update regarding the coronavirus or COVID-19 cases in the Philippines. According to DOH, 385 new cases of coronavirus were recorded today bringing the total to 3,018 now.
Fifty-two (52) COVID-19 patients have recovered from the disease while 136 died according to the health department. Everyone is reminded to stay at home to prevent the spread of the disease and to flatten the curve.
