Medical Staff Lined Up To Watch, Applaud 1st COVID-19 Survivor in Laguna

MEDICAL STAFF – The medical staff watch and applaud the 1st patient of a hospital in Laguna to recover from 2019 novel coronavirus.

The 2019 novel coronavirus is spreading rapidly around the world. On March 11, the World Health Organization (WHO) officially declared it a pandemic. The number of infected patients is increasing daily.

Governments and health officials have taken drastic measures to halt the spread of the deadly virus from China. People around the world are praying for the front liners, patients, and others who are affected by the crisis.

As of March 29, the Philippines has recorded 1,418 coronavirus cases with 71 deaths and 42 recoveries. The number of COVID-19 cases in the country continues to increase.

Recently, a video of a woman who recovered from coronavirus went viral on social media. It was uploaded on Unihealth Southwoods Hospital and Medical Center’s Facebook Page. The 45-second clip has garnered 13 thousand reactions, 650 comments, and 9.1 thousand shares as of this writing.

It can be seen in the video that the healthcare workers gave the woman warm applause after she successfully recovered from the disease. She was being wheeled along a line of medical workers. She is the first patient of a hospital in Laguna to recover from COVID-19.

In the caption of the post, it wrote: “Heartwarming applause for our 1st cured and recovered covid patient. The patient was discharged after two negative tests. Kudos to our frontline workers and medical professionals!
