PRO-7 Confirms 103 Central Visayas Cops Now Undergoing Home Quarantine

CENTRAL VISAYAS COPS – The Police Regional Office in Central Visayas confirmed that 107 of the uniformed personnel are now under home quarantine.

Currently, everyone is advised to monitor their health condition amid the coronavirus crisis not only in the Philippines but as well as in several countries across the globe. In PH, it has already taken seventeen (17) lives.

According to the Department of Health (DOH), the total confirmed cases of coronavirus now is 217. Eight (8) of the COVID-19 patients have recovered from the disease.

There are PUMs or persons under monitoring in several cities and municipalities. They are usually those who have travel history abroad or those who have a contact with a coronavirus patient.

Among these PUMs are the 103 Central Visayas cops. That is the Police Regional Office in Central Visayas (PRO-7) confirmed based on a report on Cebu Daily News.

Regional Health Services Chief Police Colonel Relie David Canlas revealed that the uniformed personnel are having an influenza-like illness. Based on the report, they were immediately advised to be on home quarantine.

Meanwhile, Canlas assured that none of these cops tested positive for COVID-19. More updates may be posted soon.
