Travel Ban-Exempt Workers Must Show DTI-Issued ID, Begins March 22
DTI-ISSUED ID – Workers from enterprises and logistics companies who are excluded from the travel ban are required to present DTI-issued ID.
According to GMA News, the identification card issued by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) will allow them to pass through checkpoints amid the enhanced community quarantine.
“To further facilitate transit of personnel of covered enterprises and establishments, an official IATF ID issued by the Department of Trade and Industry shall be presented starting 22 March 2020 unless extended,”
Meanwhile, those reporting for work in establishments in line with production, processing, distribution, and sale of food, medical supplies, and other essential products will be allowed to enter control points. They have to present the following:
- Valid company ID
- Proof of residence
- Certification of employment
As per the report, the trade department remind the public that they, as well as workers who still report to work shall observe safety protocols and social distancing measures.
The department also urged companies to provide shuttle services and temporary accommodation for their workers as mass transportation facilities have been suspended.
