Recently, Arambulo was criticized online after airing sentiment about the commuters who were stuck in the checkpoint amid “enhanced community quarantine” in Luzon due to coronavirus threats.

Many have called it “insensitive” and “anti-poor” the words of Cat Arambulo-Antonio regarding commuters who were stuck in checkpoints across Metro Manila. In a video on his Instagram Story, it shows huge flat-screen TV where she watches CNN Philippines news update about the strict inspections made by the authorities at checkpoints.

“God, why don’t you motherf**kers just stay at home? Stay at home! Don’t you guys get it? Tigas ng ulo. This is exactly why they need the military because you f**kers won’t stay at home. Guys, come on.”

When her name was trending on social media because of her words, Cat Arambulo-Antonio immediately apologizes through her Twitter and Instagram accounts.

“In all humility and sincerity, I would like to apologize for being insensitive. I didn’t mean to undermine anyone — hurt and offend everyone. I should have been more considerate of others who are trying to cope with this crisis. My apologies, too, to the names and brands who got affected. This was a hard lesson for me and I will use this to educate myself and strive to be better. Hoping for your forgiveness and I will try to do whatever I can to help. I’m so very sorry,” she said on her Instagram post.
