Sharon Cuneta promoted Frankie Pangilinan’s first movie
As a mother, Sharon Cuneta is giving her full support to the first movie of Frankie Pangilinan, her eldest child with Senator Kiko Pangilinan, titled “EdJop.”
This project is a historical film about the life and death of Edgar “Edjop” Jopson, a student leader and activist during the Martial Law era.
Frankie finished filming the movie last year; she plays the younger version of Joy Jopson, Edjop’s wife.
In her latest Instagram post, the “Megastar” is actively helping to promote the film, noting that they are brainstorming ways to reach a wider audience.
“My Kakie’s first movie!!! Hope you can all support it. Thank you! Matagal naming inisip pano ba namin ipo-promote ang EDJOP?” she wrote in the caption of her post.
Sharon Cuneta mentioned that usual events in movie promotions, such as premiere night, press conference, and preview, were being thought of.
On the other hand, she asked, “Pero paano namin ito ilalabas ng mas malawak sa mundo ng pelikula/ entertainment? Although masaya yun, andun yun, pakiramdam namin, kulang kung andun lang kami iikot.”
She also shared that they learned about Edjop’s life and that he was one of the most impactful youth organizers of the time. “So tiningnan namin ang buhay ni Edjop. He was one of the most impactful youth organizers of the time. Ang simple ng galaw niya,” she wrote

In the caption, the Megastar also shared that they will be visiting various schools to have conversations with the students, because they are the number one inspiration for this film.
They also intend to share the story of a student who chose to take a stand, rise up, and never give up, and above all, never lost hope.
They also feel that hope is one of the things we need most right now, especially the youth. With this, they are hoping to hear from the youth with the promise that they will have a safe space.
“Kaya tara. Kita-kita tayo. This is EDJOP Campus Conversations,” Sharon Cuneta said. The Megastar included a poster with the announcement of the schedule of their campus tour to promote this movie.
