Tagum Covid Patient Condition Is Improving, DRMC Chief of Hospital Says

Tagum Covid patient is already recovering.

TAGUM COVID PATIENT – Dr. Bryan O. Dalid, DRMC chief of hospital confirms that a patient from Tagum is recovering.

PH130 from Tagum City, 21 years old, is now recovering and getting her condition improving. She was admitted at the Davao Regional Medical Center (DRMC) and tested positive for coronavirus. She is now in a stable condition and surpassed the symptoms.

And to clear some things about her after she tested positive, she would undergo another round of nasopharyngeal and oropharyngeal tests. Her swabs will be sent to the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine in Manila for testing and will be discharged if the test results will be negative.

Dr. Bryan O. Dalid, Davao Regional Medical Center (DRMC) chief of hospital said, “Nag-improve iyang condition since the time she was admitted. Nawala iyang ubo, sipon, kalintura.”

The patient is a resident of Pantukan Municipality, Davao de Oro and been to United Kingdom with a layover via Doha, Qatar to Manila before reaching Davao on February 29. She got isolated on March 9. Her family is currently on home quarantine.

Meanwhile, passenger who were with her in her flight to Davao have been contacted already and were urged to go to health centers if they have coronavirus disease symptoms.

As of press time, there are already a total of 142 persons confirmed to have the virus in the country, 12 deaths, and three (3) recovery cases. In a previous report, the Department of Health (DOH) announced and confirmed that a Filipino recovered on Monday, the third patient.
