Vice Pres. Sara Duterte Asked by Supporters over Possible Presidential Bid in 2028
SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President was asked in The Hague if she will run for president in the 2028 Elections.
Countless BBM-Sara supporters were left shocked by the political division of the tandem that ran under the platform of unity during the 2022 Elections. Pres. Bongbong Marcos earned negative comments following the arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
Malacañang defended Pres. Marcos saying he did not commit any betrayal over the arrest of former Pres. Duterte. According to the Palace, the Philippine government just did its job and responded to its commitment to the Interpol. The Chief Executive previously stressed that the turn of events went through a legal process.
During his detention at the Villamor Air Base, former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte said that his arrest may lead to the presidency of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte. According to him, she may be president tomorrow or it may take a long term but she will win because of what was done to him.
Vice Pres. Sara Duterte is currently in The Hague, Netherlands to show support to former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. An arrest warrant was issued against him over the allegations of crimes against humanity regarding his administration’s war on drugs.
At the Hague, Netherlands, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte met with some Duterte supporters who went to the International Criminal Court amid the legal proceedings involving former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. Based on a report on Inquirer, she was asked if she will run for president in the next election.
“Do we still have a country by 2028?” the Vice President said.
Vice Pres. Sara Duterte made the remark after the pre-trial of former Pres. Duterte. Based on the report, the Vice President admitted that she is really clueless as the country allegedly keeps on sinking.
“The way that we are going right now, hindi ko alam, palubog ng palubog ng palubog,” Duterte said.
Vice Pres. Duterte was able to talk to former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte ahead of the pre-trial. According to the Vice President, the former President looks well-rested and has no complaints except for missing Filipino foods. He specifically misses inun-unan which is a Visayan equivalent of paksiw, fish cooked in vinegar.
Former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte wants his supporters to just relax. Furthermore, former Pres. Duterte even wants Vice Pres. Sara Duterte to immediately come home to the Philippines.
