PAGASA – Here are the latest updates from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration this March 17, 2020.

The latest weather update from the bureau states that the northeast monsoon or amihan will affect the northern and central part of Luzon.
According to GMA News, amihan will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Bicol Region, Aurora, Quezon, Marinduque and Oriental Mindoro.
Amihan will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.
Meanwhile, the entire Visayas and Mindanao will face partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thundertorms.
The bureau warned of flash floods or landslides that might occur especially during severe thunderstorms.
As per the report, for the forecast wind speed, northern Luzon and the eastern section of Luzon will have moderate to strong winds moving northeastward with moderate to rough coastal waters.
The rest of the country will have slight to moderate winds moving northeastward with moderate to rough.
