Patient in Caloocan Tests Positive for 2019 Novel Coronavirus
PATIENT IN CALOOCAN – Caloocan 1st District Representative Along Malapitan announced that one (1) person admitted in a hospital in Tala tested positive for coronavirus.
Recently, the number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in the Philippines has continuously increased. It started last week when two (2) Filipinos tested positive for the disease.
One of those first two (2) cases with Pinoy patients, the 5th case, is a case of local transmission according to the Department of Health (DOH). The 62-year-old has no travel history abroad but tested positive for the disease. His wife also tested positive for COVID-19.
The total coronavirus count rose from 6 to 10 and then to 20. On Monday, the day ended with 24 total confirmed cases of coronavirus in the Philippines. Nine (9) new cases were recorded by DOH yesterday bringing the total to 33.
Some local government units with confirmed cases of coronavirus also made announcements about the matter. There are recorded cases in Quezon City, Marikina, and Pasig among others.
Recently, a patient in Caloocan also tested positive for coronavirus according to Caloocan 1st District Representative Along Malapitan. Based on a report of Manila Bulletin, the person is admitted at Dr. Jose Rodriguez Memorial Hospital in Tala.
According to Malapitan, the said patient is not a resident of the province. The patient is reportedly from San Jose Del Monte City in Bulacan. Based on the report, aside from the confirmed case, there are three (3) patients under investigation admitted in the same hospital.
The Caloocan Representative expressed that they are showing symptoms of coronavirus. He revealed that two (2) of them are from Greenhills in San Juan.
