CSC Suspends March 2020 CSE-PPT Exam Nationwide

CSC – The Civil Service Commission announced that they will suspend the nationwide CSE-PPT exam which is supposed to be set on March 15.

According to their website, this is in compliance to the Proclamation No. 922 signed by President Rodrigo Duterte, which declares a State of Public Health Emergency throughout the nation and

The proclamation also calls for the implementation of urgent critical means to contain the spread of the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

The commission suspended the nationwide Career Service Examination-Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) which is to be conducted on March 15 (Sunday).

The examination was set to be conducted in 66 testing locations nationwide with a total of about 293,845 individuals registered to take the test. Among them were 253,419 who will takew the Professional Level of exam, and the remaining 40,426 who will take the Subprofessional Level.

As per the website, the suspension was needed as a preemptive health measure to diminish the increase of number of COVID-19 cases and support the national local government units in shouldering appropriate response and measures in a timely manner to contain and eliminate the threat of the virus.
