Marikina City Records 4 New Confirmed Coronavirus Cases
NEW CONFIRMED CORONAVIRUS CASES – The city of Marikina recorded four (4) new confirmed cases of COVID-19.
Undeniably, a lot of Filipinos now are worrying over the increasing coronavirus cases in the Philippines. The country has already recorded 33 confirmed cases of the disease as of this writing.
According to the Department of Health (DOH), most of the coronavirus patients are in Metro Manila. The health department has affirmed a case of local transmission in the country.
A 62-year-old man with no travel history tested positive for COVID-19. Shortly after his detection, his wife also tested positive for the disease.
Quezon City, Marikina City, and Pasig City are among the cities with confirmed cases of the 2019 novel coronavirus. Their city mayors were quick to make an announcement about it.
Recently, Marikina City Mayor Marcelino Teodoro gave an update. Based on a report on ABS-CBN, he revealed that the city recorded four (4) new confirmed coronavirus cases.
According to Mayor Teodoro, the new patients of coronavirus lived together with the 86-year-old American citizen who tested positive for the disease. Based on the report, one of the new patients is his 82-year-old wife.
The said American citizen was from the United States where he served as a member of the military. He arrived in the Philippines last February 19 but stopped by South Korea during his flight.
Reportedly, the American man is now in a critical condition. Four (4) other people who shared the same house with him are quarantined at their residence. According to Mayor Teodoro, the patients behind the new confirmed coronavirus cases in Marikina City are in the hospital.
