Police Officers Discover Drug Den Near Blumentritt Railway Station
DRUG DEN – Police officers discovered a drug den near the Antipolo railway during a clearing operation.
An illegal drug is one of the pressing issues in the Philippines. President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has carried out a “war on drugs” to end the problem. His campaign has led to the deaths of over 10,000 people to date.
However, Duterte’s drug campaign seems like an impossible goal. Vice President Leni Robredo even said his “war on drugs” was a “massive failure. There are still lots of people who can’t stop using illegal drugs even though they know that it’s very harmful to their health.
The authorities continue to arrest people who use and sell illegal substances. Recently, a video of police officers initiating a demolition drive at Antipolo Cor. T. Mapua Street surfaced on the internet. The video was uploaded on ‘Today News’ Facebook Page.
The residents were ordered to leave their makeshift houses because the location is just beside the railway and it’s very dangerous for them and their kids.
While they were clearing the area, the authorities found various drug paraphernalia. One of the cops confirmed that the location is also an alleged drug den. They seized the drug paraphernalia as evidence.
