Pia Wurtzbach Supports Kobe Bryant’s Charitable Work
PIA WURTZBACH – Find out how Pia Wurtzbach showed her support to the charitable work of the late NBA legend, Kobe Bryant.
Last week, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach announced on social media that she will be an “insider” who will cover the National Basketball Association (NBA) All-Star 2020 festivities. In her video, she vowed that she will “work hard, like ‘The King’ LeBron James in posting highlights and results. I will be your eyes and ears on and off the court.”
The annual star-studded basketball extravaganza is held in Chicago, Illinois. The Filipina-German beauty queen is pretty active in sporting events.
In a previous article, Pia Wurtzbach got the chance to meet up with the Filipino basketball phenom Kai Sotto at the NBA All-Star 2020 activities. She shared photos and videos of her bonding moment with the young athlete on her Instagram Stories. The beauty queen described him as “already a pride of the Philippines.”
On Monday, Pia Wurtzbach shared a photo of herself holding the jersey won by NBA star Lebron James. She wore black gloves while showing the jersey. In the caption, she said that jersey and several others are available for auction and the proceeds will go to Kobe Bryant’s foundation the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation.
She encourages her followers and fans worldwide to support the foundation of the late NBA legend who died in a helicopter crash last January 26.
“If you’re a die hard collector, this jersey (among others) are available for auction at auctions.nba.com on Tuesday! All proceeds go to the Mamba Mambacita Sports Foundation,” she wrote.
