Here’s reason why Angel Locsin opted not to renew contract amid ABS-CBN franchise issues.
ABS-CBN FRANCHISE – Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin reveals in a post the reason why she did not renew her contract with ABS-CBN amid the issues.
The ABS-CBN network is currently facing tough controversies as their franchise is about to end in March 30. Solicitor General Jose Calida even urged the Supreme Court to scrap their franchise due to “highly abusive practices” and for going “beyond the scope of its legislative franchise for broadcasting for a fee.”
With the shut down of the network on the verge already, famous personalities have various reactions that even big stars such as Robin Padilla, Sharon Cuneta, Regine Velasquez, and Lea Salonga also urged lawmakers renew the franchise.
And now, hailing ABS-CBN employees, Angel Locsin also speaks her take about the matter. She plead “Think before you click” mentioning all the persons behind aside from artists like her such as the cameramen, utility, art department, technical department, production, actors, directors, caterers, producers, lightmen, crew, tents, and many more.
These people including her and her fellow actors are the people behind the network and they are the network. They comprise the network. And if ever ABS-CBN shuts down, numerous lives and people will be affected.
She may not have renewed her contract with the network, she is speaking for them and will stand for them. She have heard their stories and added, “Mahal ko sila at hindi po ito drama kundi kung sino po ang mas magdurusa sa sitwasyong ito.”
Meanwhile, why wasn’t she able to renew her contract with the network who sheltered her for many years? In her post, she included their the reason and that is because of her upcoming wedding with film producer Neil Arce.
