First Coronavirus Patient in PH Discharged From Hospital After Her Full Recovery
BREAKING NEWS – The first novel coronavirus patient in the Philippines has been discharged from the hospital after recovery.
The novel coronavirus acute respiratory disease (2019-nCoV ARD) has been the headlines of local and international outlets worldwide. The disease has been also one of the most discussed topics online.
The deadly virus is currently spreading in different countries all around the world and has already affected thousands of people. Hundreds of people have already died after being infected by the mysterious disease.
A few weeks ago, the Department of Health confirmed the first case of nCoV in the Philippines after a 38-year-old Chinese woman fell ill showing signs and symptoms of the illness. Her 43-year-old partner also died due to the virus.
The Health Undersecretary Eric Domingo announced that the 38-year-old Chinese woman who was the first nCoV patient in the Philippines has been discharged from the San Lazaro Hospital in Manila after she fully recovered on Saturday (February 8, 2020).
“As for the first case, the first case has already tested negative twice and has in fact been discharged,” Domingo said.
Domingo said that the woman tested negative for the novel coronavirus after two consecutive tests. The medical experts have decided to discharge the patient from the San Lazaro Hospital.
