US Embassy Says 60-Year-Old US Citizen Died in Wuhan, China Due to New Coronavirus

The US citizen confirmed that a 60-year-old US citizen has died from the new coronavirus outbreak in Wuhan, China.

Over the past few weeks, the novel coronavirus has become the headlines of local and international outlets. The virus has already become a health scare causing fear and panic to the public.

The mysterious disease is already spreading in different countries all around the world. The deadly illness has already affected thousands of people worldwide and killed hundreds of victims.

On Saturday (February 8, 2020), US embassy spokesman reported an American citizen died at the epidemic in China due to the 2019 novel coronavirus. The virus reportedly originates from Wuhan wherein exotic foods are served to customers.

“We can confirm that a 60-year-old US citizen diagnosed with coronavirus died at a hospital in Wuhan, China, on February 6,” the embassy spokesman said.

Around 700 people have died and nearly 35,000 others have been affected by the disease as of this writing.
