DepEd Suspends Field Trips Amid Coronavirus Outbreak

FIELD TRIP – The Department of Education announced the suspension of field trips for public schools amid coronavirus outbreak.

Recently, the Education Department announced that it will suspend field trips indefinitely for public schools. Amid the rising concern over the deadly disease. DepEd also suspends national events expected to gather thousands of students.

The DepEd releases a memorandum announcing the ban of official travel of students and all DepEd personnel to countries affected by the virus. The department also urges learners and personnel to comply with quarantine procedures.

“Personnel and learners coming from travel abroad shall comply with the prescribed quarantine procedures of proper government authorities before returning to work or school,” the DepEd memorandum said.
