Authorities Release the Results of Foreigner Suspected for Coronavirus in Bacolod-Negros

FOREIGNER SUSPECTED FOR CORONAVIRUS IN BACOLOD – The results of the test performed on the foreigner who is isolated in a hospital in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental now are out.

One of the provinces that have suspected cases of the 2019 novel coronavirus is Negros Occidental in the Visayas region. Previously, it confirmed that there are two (2) suspected cases of nCoV in Bacolod City.

According to Provincial Governor Eugenio “Bong” Lacson, the patients are a foreigner and a Filipino. The foreigner was identified to be a Canadian national who is married to a Filipina.

In the case of the Filipino who is suspected for nCoV, he has a travel history to Hong Kong. The said country is one of those with a high number of infected people.

Results of Foreigner Suspected for Coronavirus in Bacolod

Yesterday, a report that there are already three (3) suspected cases of nCoV in Bacolod during the writing crossed the surface. The third patient is a Filipino. All patients were confined and isolated at Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in Bacolod City.

Recently, the results of the foreigner suspected for coronavirus in Bacolod arrived. Based on a report on TV Patrol Negros, the 43-year-old foreign national tested negative for nCoV. However, he will remain confined in the hospital for the other tests to confirm that he has no other illnesses.

It was DOH-Western Visayas Infectious Disease Section Head Dr. Jane Juanico who revealed the results of the test. The patient is currently still in the isolation room.

As of this writing, there are still no further information regarding the matter. More updates may be posted soon.
