Experts Raise Concern As Wuhan Coronavirus Has Youngest Fatality At 36-Years-Old
YOUNGEST CORONAVIRUS FATALITY – Previously, the fatalities of the Wuhan coronavirus ranged from 65-80 years old.
The fatalities of the virus were admittedly old with the previous youngest victim being a 48-year-old woman with a history of diabetes.
However, one of the latest fatalities was a 36-year-old man who David Heymann, a virus expert, described an “Engima”.
David Heymann is a professor of Infectious Disease Epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene. He stated:
We know that the majority of people who seem to have died to date have co-morbidity and they are elderly.

According to a report from Time, the man was admitted to a hospital on January 9 after showing symptoms of high fever for three days. Following this, a radiograph revealed that he had a lung infection and high white blood cell count.
Unfortunately, he succumbed to the fatal virus on Jan. 23 after a drop in heart rate and a cardiac arrest. Still, officials have yet to know if the man had any genetic predispositions as like the other fatalities.
According to Dr. Peter Openshaw of Experimental Medicine at Imperial College London, it was possible that younger individuals suffering more from the virus are those who have a genetic predisposition to getting more severe disease.
Meanwhile, a leading virologist who fought against the SARS epidemic said that the Wuhan coronavirus could be 10 times worse than SARS.
Dr. Guyan Yi, director of the State Key Laboratory of Emerging Infectious Diseases at the University of Hong Kong echoed concerns that the virus in Wuhan was already “uncontrollable”.
