Marcelito Pomoy’s Dual Voice Gets Standing Ovation In America’s Got Talent: The Champions

MARCELITO POMOY – Filipino singer Marcelito Pomoy got a standing ovation from the judges and audience of America’s Got Talent: The Champions.

In November last year, singer Marcelito Pomoy took to Instagram to announce that he will be joining America’s Got Talent: The Champions’ edition. The show started airing on January 6 at NBC.

He told his fans in the Philippines to watch him perform on the said talent show in the US. “Guys, this is it. Ito na ‘yung pagkakataong hinihintay ko. So please abangan niyo po ako,” he wrote.

Marcelito Pomoy was the champion of ABS-CBN’s reality talent competition shot Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT).

The Filipino singer’s wish to perform on America’s Got talent stage finally happened. The video of his performance was shared on AGT’s Facebook page. The video has garnered 44K reactions, 24,459 shares, and 871 views as of this writing.

Marcelito Pomoy received a standing ovation from AGT judges and a studio audience. He performed both Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion’s parts in the popular song “The Prayer.” She stunned all the people present on the show.

Judge Howie Mandel commended the Pinoy’s singing voice. “That was so unique, you are beautiful, a wonderful singer with a young woman trap inside of you,” he said.

Judge Alesha Dixon also praised Marcelito Pomoy’s performance for its uniqueness. “I want to see something different, something unique and Marcelito you just gave it to us. It is absolutely brilliant,” she said.

Heidi Klum was impressed by the amazing talent of the 35-year-old Pinoy singer. “Honestly, this is one of the craziest things I ever heard in my entire life. Your voice, your range, and your sound is just so out of this world,” said Klum.

Judge Simon Cowell gave Marcelito Pomoy’s a perfect score of 10. “That was what I call a 10, a simple as that. I have a feeling that the super fans will put you through the next round,” he said.

The Filipino has to gain votes from the “super fans” to proceed to the next round of the talent show.
