Statement of Ex-Sen. Bongbong Marcos on Former First Lady Imelda Marcos’ Birthday Party Incident
BONGBONG MARCOS – Former Senator Bongbong Marcos issued a statement on the incident related to the birthday party of his mom, former First Lady Imelda Marcos.
Former First Lady Imelda Marcos, the wife of the late former President Ferdinand Marcos Sr., recently celebrated her 90th birthday.
In line with her birthday, an event was organized at the Ynares Sports Center in Antipolo, Rizal and it gathered thousands of Marcos loyalist. Some even came from other provinces.
However, amid the joyful celebration were food were served, an unexpected incident happened. More than 200 attendees of the former First Lady’s birthday party were rushed to the hospital.
The people brought to the hospital complained of vomiting and stomach pain after eating the food served at the birthday party of former First Lady Imelda Marcos.
Food poisoning was the diagnoses. Some of the patients were already discharged and an investigation on which food has caused it was lodged.
Recently, former Sen. Bongbong Marcos issued a statement regarding the incident in line with former First Lady Imelda Marcos’ birthday party.
In his statement, the former Senator assured that everyone affected by the incident were already brought to the hospital. According to him, the organizers are now looking into the cause and are ready to coordinate with the authorities to solve the problem.
Sen. Bongbong Marcos also assured that they are reaching out to the attendees of former First Lady Imelda Marcos’ birthday party who were affected by the incident.
He is asking for apology and understanding as he stressed that they will extend help until the people are fully well. Here is Marcos’ statement:
