A zip line is found on adventure sports and tourist spots. There are lots of zipline adventures in the Philippines and it has become one of the most popular tourist attractions in the country.
However, accidents can occur on a zipline. Some of the tourists were left with lifelong injuries such as broken bones, closed head injuries or concussion if the management doesn’t have any safety standards.

Recently, a video of two tourists who got stuck on a zip line in Cebu went viral on social media. A Facebook user named Jason Monteclar shared the video of the two females dangling on the cables at Adventure Café Gaas Balamban. Based on his caption, he said the tourists were left hanging on the cables due to mechanical malfunction.

The 2 tourists who got trapped in the middle of a zip line was later rescued by one of the employees. The man brought them one by one at the end of the line.
Monteclar asked if there’s a regulatory standard for that kind of exhilarating ride. He also mentioned that the management didn’t put safety nets.
“Two foreign tourist found themselves in a suspenseful situation as they cling for dear life. A mechanical malfunction caused these poor ladies to be hanging on a cable and perfectly clueless as to what fate may bring them at 50 feet above ground. This took place in Adventure Cafe Gaas Balamban ganina. Im not really on to zipline especially where no safety nets are installed,” he wrote.
