Daniel Padilla reveals that HLG lead role was originally for him and Kathryn Bernardo.
DANIEL PADILLA – The Kapamilya actor Daniel Padilla revealed that Alden Richards’ role in “Hello, Love, Goodbye” was offered to him first.
“In-offer naman sa akin ‘yun Tito Boy. Sa amin naman talaga original ‘yun, originally dapat ‘yun para sa amin,” says Daniel Padilla in an interview with Boy Abunda regarding the success of “Hello, Love, Goodbye“. This is the first movie of Kathryn Bernardo with a different leading man who is Alden Richards.
Bringing a new flavor, the film was a definite success and named as the highest grossing Filipino film of all time. And in Daniel’s interview, there was absolutely no regret over anything. He explained and shared, “Napag-usapan namin ‘yun after ‘The Hows Of Us’ na magpapahinga muna kaming dalawa.”
Accordingly, everything was a process and it wasn’t easy getting out and being away from someone he’s been with for more than eight (8) years in almost all of his projects. Also, their separation from doing projects has paved way for them to create their individual identities as artists.
Moreover, when asked if he’s jealous with Kathryn and Alden’s tandem, he answered in conviction that he did not but there was a different feelings. However, he is sure that it wasn’t jealousy because they trust each other. He added, “Masyadong mababaw ang selos, hindi ako nagselos, hindi siya selos, it’s just different. It’s a different feeling. Kasi ang selos makukuha mo lang ‘yan kung saan-saan eh. Ito ibang usapan siya eh. Doon nagkaroon ng security, doon kami lalo naging tight ni Kathryn, nang dahil doon.”
