Lawmaker Pushes 4-Day Workweek in House of Representatives

4-DAY WORKWEEK – Dasmariñas City Representative Elpidio Barzaga Jr. pushes for the said proposal regarding the public and private employees’ work schedule.

In the Philippines, the usual work schedule among the government employees is from Monday to Friday. For the private employees, most work from Monday to Saturday.

Every day, one of the things that most employees have to deal with is the traffic since the usual start of the working hours is at 8:00 o’clock in the morning. It is only half an hour from the start of the classes in schools so many are really out on the road.
