We should always know the person very well before giving them access to things that are very valuable to us like finding a nanny or ‘yaya’ for our kids. We can’t deny that good nannies are hard to find these days but we should make sure that they won’t do any harm to us and to our kids.
Recently, a newly hired ‘yaya’ was caught on camera abducting a baby. Based on a report from ABS-CBN, the nanny kidnapped the 5-month-old baby at Barangay, Bambang, Taguig City on Wednesday.
The closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera shows that the ‘yaya’ leaves the house with the baby girl in her arms. Netizen Anjo Bagaoisan uploaded the videos on Twitter.
According to the report, the mother of the baby, Princess Jean Perrin said she and her partner were sleeping during the kidnapping incident since they are from their night shift jobs. When they woke up, the ‘yaya’ Kristine Joy Salik and her baby were gone.
Perrin said the suspect contacted her after she posted on social media that she needed a babysitter. Salik has worked for her in less than a week.

Based on the report, Police Maj. Matron Calyaen from Taguig City Police said the suspect probably used a fake name because no one knows her in Rizal, the address she put on her Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) ID and barangay clearance.
Police advised those who have information on the whereabouts of the baby and the suspect to contact her via mobile number 09171790393 or Taguig City Police Station hotline 09395047033 and 86423582.
