She was asked by a reporter how she handles the traffic jam which she answered politely actually looking at the brighter side of it. She expressed that instead of getting yourself consumed in the heaviness of it, try something worthwhile such as reading or writing.
Marian just expressed based on the report, “Traffic? Parang matagal nang may traffic. Wala nang dahilan para ikunsume mo sarili mo sa traffic. Kung may lakad ka, eh ‘di pumunta ka ahead of time para ‘di ka ma-trapik.”
And with this, some netizens have reacted to it differently. The actress got badly criticized and was even one of the trending topics in the Philippines as of this writing.

Well tbh, there is a lot of positivities of what did Marian says during her interview about traffic issues.
Marian [Rivera] is just making a statement on how she handles traffic.
Marian [Rivera] can afford to be stuck in traffic for three to four hours.
It is weird how quickly people forget where they came from.
She’s entitled to her own opinion & is not accountable to us for that.
