Taiwan Bridge Collapsing Sends Truck Passing into Waters

TAIWAN BRIDGE COLLAPSING – The breaking of a steel bridge in Taiwan while a truck was passing through it was caught in video.

Undeniably, no matter how strongly built a structure is, may it be a building or a road, there are several factors that can cause its breaking. Time is one of it as the quality of the materials may degrade.

Also, some natural phenomena like earthquakes can trigger the collapsing of a building or a road. In such incidents, thorough investigations are needed and conducted to determine the route.

Unfortunately, a structure in Taiwan, a bridge, crashed into the waters. There was even a truck passing through it when the incident happened.

Based on a report of ABC News, a video camera caught the Taiwan bridge collapsing. The oil tanker truck that was passing through the steel bridge during the incident dropped into the waters falling to two(2) boats below.

Several people were affected by the incident. At least six(6) individuals were even trapped below. Rescuers arrived at the area to provide assistance to the victims. At least 10 people were brought immediately to the hospital.

Based on the report, the officials yet to know the root of the incident. It was noted that a few hours before the bridge in Taiwan collapsed, a strong earthquake rocked the northern part of the seaport.
