According to the report, the Taiwan government’s program allows foreigners from those four countries to enjoy their country for 14 days.

It is part of their government’s effort to promote and boost the country’s tourism by having lots of visitors.

The plan to approve the extension of visa-free access was made during the meeting organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs joined by the police, immigration, tourism, investigators, agency officials, and the economy and trade.

Based on the report, they are still waiting for the final decision of the cabinet said Chang Ching-sen.

The government learned out that the visa-free access program has helped the increase of foreign visitors in their country.

Before the program was launched in 2016, they only had 1.79 million tourists. In 2017, when they implemented the visa-free access, they gathered 2.28 million visitors.

Surely, if they will decide to extend the program, lots of Filipinos will be planning their next vacation to Taiwan.
