CATRIONA GRAY – Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray said she is open to joining the Philippine Army as a reservist.
Filipina-Australian beauty queen Catriona Gray is the reigning Miss Universe. Before joining the prestigious pageant, she made several vlogs that feature the beauty of the Philippines.
Catriona Gray has achieved enough for bringing home the Miss Universe crown to her country. It seems that the 25-year-old was not pleased yet.
Based on a report from ABS-CBN News, the beauty queen said she would consider joining the Philippine Army reservist during her visit at Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo in Quezon City last Saturday, August 17.
“I’d be open to it. I think there’s something that you definitely learn in giving back to your country in that way,” she said.
According to the report, AFP Chief of Staff Gen. Benjamin Madrigal Jr. gave Catriona Gray a Command Plaque. It is a recognition from the army for her achievement representing the Philippines all over the world.
The AFP also expressed their willingness to help Catriona in her advocacy particularly in the empowerment of women and young people.
“Miss Gray, you have served this country long before you attained your crown. With your character, dedication, and passion, you have certainly inspired people to work harder in ending poverty and inequality,” said Madrigal.
