Authorities Arrest Dumaguete City Local Government Employee
DUMAGUETE CITY LOCAL GOVERNMENT – The authorities arrested an employee of the local government in Dumaguete, Negros.
Currently, several operations are conducted daily in the pursuit of cleaning the country from drugs. It is one of the campaign promises of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and he vowed not to stop until he fulfills it.
The Philippine National Police (PNP), the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), and other responsible authorities have nabbed a lot of people already. Surprisingly, both poor and rich are involved in the trade.
Recently, the authorities conducted another buy-bust operation. It was done in Dumaguete City in the Negros Island.
Based on a recent report on ABS-CBN News, the authorities arrested a 46-year-old Dumaguete City government employee. The operation was specifically done in Barangay Camanjac.
According to Negros Oriental PDEA Chief Grace Cruz, the suspect is considered as a “high-value target”. The Chief also said that the suspect is serving a Special Enforcement Unit for six(6) years now.
Based on the report, two sachets which are suspected to be drugs worth Php 68,000.00 were seized from the LGU employee. Currently, the suspect is facing charges over violation of Republic Act 9165.
