Male Teenager Drowned After Learning How To Swim Together With His Cousins
A 15-year-old male teenager who is trying to learn how to swim with his cousins drowned in the town of Argao, southern Cebu.
On Sunday afternoon (July 28, 2019), Argao Police Station desk officer Police Staff Sergeant Alejandro Dayaganon reported that a young boy drowned in an area filled with rainwater.
The depth of the area in Sitio Baclao, Barangay Mabasa filled with rainwater is more than the average height of a person, according to Dayaganon.
The young man accidentally slipped into the deeper part of the pool and drowned while attempting to learn how to swim. The victim’s mother said that her son is with his three cousins during the time of the incident.
The authorities said that the boy was immediately rushed to the nearest hospital but the doctors declared he was dead on arrival.
The drowning incident has been reported to the authorities around 9:00 pm on Sunday evening.
