Accident In Bacolod, Driver Dozed Off While Driving, Hits Truck
ACCIDENT – An accident occurred on Saturday (June 29) in Bacolod City, which involves a car hitting a truck as driver dozed off while driving.
According to an article from ABS-CBN News, the driver was identified as Denny Mahipus, who received wounds when the front part of his car crashed an approaching truck in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental.
The police reported that the driver admitted that he dozed off while driving, which is the main cause of the crash as he reached to the other lane and collided with the approaching truck.
As per the report, the truck driver, who is identified as Arnell, said that he stopped his vehicle when he saw Mahipus’ car approaching fast towards him. Mahipus is currently recovering in the hospital.
This accident will remind us to stay awake when driving and if you feel drowsy or dozed off, it’s best to restore your energy before driving as sleeping while driving is hazardous in the road.
