Film producer and friend of Eddie Garcia shared what will happen to the ashes of the veteran actor after he was cremated.
The family of the late actor- director followed hia dying wish that his remains will be cremated and that the wake will be as simple as it could be.
Initially, there were speculations that the ashes of the 42nd Gawad Urian Best Actor will be scatteren on Manila Bay as he was heard mentioning about it.
Eddie said this in an interview back in 2012: “Gusto ko from death bed, diretso sa crematorium. Pagkatapos, may kaibigan akong piloto, kukunin ‘yung ashes ko, ikakalat sa dagat sa Manila Bay.”

Bibeth added that Eddie made a promise with Mike Romero, the father of hia longtime partner Lilibeth Romero, that they will be together in deathbed.
The film producer also said, “Tito Eddie and father ni Lilibeth si Mike, kasi magkaibigan ‘yung dalawang ‘yun, nangako sa isa’t-isa, ‘Pag nilibing tayo, magkasama tayo sa libingan.”
According to her, this is what the family of the veteran actor is working out right now, to be able to buy the lot next to Lilibeth’s father’s tomb.
While working on that, his ashes will be brought home by his longtime partner.
The wake of Eddie Garcia at the Heritage Park in Taguig City is open to the public from Friday to Sunday, based on thr report.
