The premier company for toll road managements have considered developments for SCTEX. In another report, a bill was passed in the Congress recently seeking to change the name of the company NLEX.

The planned repairs and improvements are part of a movement to enhance the 94-kilometer

NLEX Corp., a unit of Manuel V. Pangilinan-led Metro Pacific Investments Corp., said the activities were part of enhancement initiatives at the 94-kilometer expressway SCTEX.

Efforts to repair are already being processed for the protection on one of the slopes in Pinulot, Loakan and Cui river bridges located at Dinalupihan, Bataan.

The proposed projects would be practical in preventing structures from intensive scouring and erosion before the rainy season.

There is also a developing plan to repair the pavements across 38 kilometer lane of SCTEX this year.

Light patching works, as well as asphalt overlays would be needed to carry the pavement repairs successfully. This will cover directions both from Tarlac to Tipo, also the Subic Freeport Expressway.

The repair program is also going on at the NLEX lane that spans to a 40 km lane from Balintawak to Sta.Ines.

This is according to an article from Inquirer.

Luigi Bautista – NLEX president, also the general manager – explained that the move was done with intentions to secure safety in his statement:

“These are part of our efforts to maintain and make our roads safe for all weather conditions, giving the public comfortable travel and helping facilitate efficient mobility of goods and services.”

It was back in 2016 when the NLEX-SCTEX was integrated.

That is all there is to it, at least for now. We’ll post updates as soon as we got them.
