The photos of young siblings sewing shoes to earn a certain amount of cash for their school allowance broke the hearts of netizens.

Two young siblings were sewing shoes along the sidewalk of Valencia Street in Puerto Princesa City Palawan after class.

The students were identified as Manuelita Borbon, 13-year-old, and Micko Borbon, 12-year-old. They are Grade 8 and Grade 7 students, respectively.

The young children have to stitch shoes after school to earn money for their daily expenses in school.

“Minsan pag may project ‘di na kami nagsasabi kila mama, kami na lang po bumibili,” Manuelita said.

The siblings are living in a small shanty house at Wescom Road,  Barangay San Pedro in the town of Puerto Princesa together with their shoe-sewer parents.

Manuelita and Micko acquired their skills to stitch shoes from their parents.

With those skills, they were able to help their parents earn money and support their studies.

The kids are dreaming to become soldiers someday and be an inspiration to other students.
