ITCZ To Bring Rains Over Visayas & Mindanao, PAGASA Says
The state weather bureau PAGASA released the latest weather updates in the Philippines for Tuesday (May 28, 2019).
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported the current weather condition.
PAGASA said that the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) would affect the weather condition over Visayas and Mindanao.
The ITCZ would bring cloudy weather conditions with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Zamboanga Peninsula, Western Visayas, Palawan, and Mindoro provinces.
The southwesterly surface windflow would bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and central Luzon.
The localized thunderstorms would also bring partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
The weather agency also warned the public of possible flash floods and landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over the eastern sections of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao would be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
