Here Are Some Pictures Of Voters That Showed Up In Moises Padilla Elementary School
MOISES PADILLA VOTERS – These photos show voters queued up in Moises Padilla elementary school after the recent reports of violence in the area.
These photos were posted by The Visayan Daily Star on their Facebook page.
Moises Padilla was recently put under Comelec control. This was after a violent crime was committed in the municipality back in April 25, 2019.
Under Comelec control, the supervision of local officials and authorities will be undertaken. This is to carry necessary actions when the lawful peace and order situation in an area can possibly affect the conduct of elections.
Before the shooting incident, the Municipality of Moises was already put under red flag category in the list of election hotspots released by Comelec.
Based on the previous article “43 ‘Hotspots’ For Election Identified By PNP At Western Visayas” :
“The regional police spokesman, Lt. Col. Joem Malong listed Moises Padilla in Negros Occidental, Lemery in Calinog and Maasin in Iloilo under red flag category.”
After the red flag category announcement and shooting incident, President Rodrigo Duterte himself visited the Municipality of Moises Padilla to participate in a command discussion and to talk about the security issue in Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental.
Ella Celestina Garcia-Yulo, vice mayor of Moises Padilla who survived the ambush that happened in April 25 this year, appealed to the president for assistance.
She also hoped for the president’s affirmation.
That is all there is to it, at least for now. We’ll post updates as soon as we got them.
