AIKO MELENDEZ – The Kapamilya actress Aiko Melendez slammed this message after her politician boyfriend got included in the Narco-list.
On Thursday, President Rodrigo Duterte released the latest list of names of politicians who got included in the narco-list. These politicians are allegedly involved in illegal drugs. The list was comprised by one former and 45 incumbent officials, comprising of 33 mayors, 8 vice mayors, 3 congressmen, one board member, and one former mayor.
And one of the politicians in the list is the boyfriend of the actress Aiko Melendez, Jay Khonghun. However, they have both denied that he is in any way involved or affiliated in illegal drugs or transactions regarding this matter. And the actress already had fear inside her following the controversy that her boyfriend got himself into.
Here’s what the actress has said in her post after receiving an ill comment following her boyfriend’s issue:
“Sorry that am posting this, But this is so foul already. My boyfriend is going through something that is hard. Being accused of something he hasn’t done. It is yet to be proven. But messages like this won’t help at all. We ask for privacy and ask for the people to understand that we choose to keep quiet. Not because he is guilty but because he will prove his innocence in the right time and in the proper forum.”
She further added that what she cannot just understand is the reason why people rejoice to someone’s misfortune easily. Melendez appealed to let the agencies handle the list and everything and to the country’s president.
“We will not give up our cause of running and serving zambales because of this setback, instead we will be stronger and get out much-needed love and support from the People who believe in Jay. I will not leave him now that he needs me the most,” she also added.
